New Patients

Your First Visit to Our Office

You will be warmly welcomed and made to feel at home. Help is on its way!  Your first visit to our office will last approx. 1 to 1-1/2 hours.  When you first arrive Laurie will greet you right away.  She will have some paperwork to go over with you and for you to fill out. If you have any questions about the paper work feel free to ask Laurie.

After your paper work is complete, Dr. Kim will sit down with you to review your forms and discuss what brought you into our office. During your consultation with the doctor you will have the opportunity to discuss your short and long-term health goals and see if chiropractic is likely to help you. After this consultation a physical examination will be performed. If it is determined that x-rays are needed before treatment, you will be given a few options on how to have x-rays taken. We look forward to meeting you!

Your Second Visit to Our Office

On your report visit we explain what we found and how we may be able to help you. For your second visit you can plan to set aside about 30 minutes.  If Laurie has not already gone over your insurance and chiropractic coverage if that applies to you, she will take a few minutes to discuss your benefits and what you can expect your cost to be at each visit. If you have no chiropractic benefits, she will discuss other options available to you.

During your time with Dr. Kim, she will discuss with you how you are feeling.  If you were adjusted at your first appointment she will ask how you felt after your first adjustment and in the time following.  If you did not receive an adjustment at the first visit due to x-rays needing to be taken, we will go over the x-rays with you so that you can get a visual picture of what your spine looks like. The Dr. will also discuss with you a treatment plan that will benefit you the best and then you will have any misalignments that are found in your spine adjusted and will have time to go over any questions that you may have.

Regular Visits

After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length, when actually a typical office visit may require just 10 – 15 minutes.  Avoid relapse with regular visits! We don’t want you to think the less time required of a regular visit lessons its value or effectiveness. In fact, with the groundwork laid, we can quickly size up the condition of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.

Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Although we try to keep your regular visits brief for you, Dr. Kim always encourages you to take the time you need to go over any questions, concerns, or new issues that arise in between appointments. We want to make sure you are keeping the doctor informed on what is going on so she can provide you with the best care.

If someone needs a bit of extra time during their appointment, we pride ourselves in the fact that we truly care about our patients and want to help them as much as we can. Please know that the same time and consideration will be given to you as well. We recognize that your time is valuable. We do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life.
