Massage Therapy

When used in combination, chiropractic and massage therapy form a powerful healing approach that address your health needs on many levels. This combination can help to speed up the healing process. For those reasons, our office provides the services of Sheryl Nielsen, LMT, of NH Body In Balance Massage, LLC available to attend to your soft-tissue needs. Sheryl is out of of the office on a medical leave for the time being but will return as soon as she is able to.  In the meantime if you are looking to have massage work, we can answer any questions about massage therapy or help you find someone until Sheryl returns, please feel free to speak with Dr. Kim when you are in for your adjustments.

Massage is defined as the application of soft-tissue manipulation techniques to the body, generally intended to reduce stress and fatigue while improving circulation. The many variations of massage account for several different techniques.  Sheryl is wonderful to work with and really knows her stuff!  She is a very talented therapist and you will be in “great hands” with her. She is truly a very sweet and caring person.

Reduce and Relieve Stress

It is estimated that as much as 90% of disease is stress related and perhaps nothing ages us faster, internally and externally, than high stress. While eliminating anxiety and pressure altogether in this fast-paced world may be idealistic, massage can, without a doubt, help manage stress.

This translates into:

  • Decreased anxiety.
  • Enhanced sleep quality.
  • Greater energy.
  • Improved concentration.
  • Increased circulation.
  • Reduced fatigue.

Increase the Benefits with Frequent Visits

Getting a massage can do you a world of good and getting massage frequently can do even more. Taking part in this form of regularly scheduled self-care can play a huge part in how healthy you’ll be and how youthful you’ll remain with each passing year. Budgeting time and money for massage at consistent intervals is truly an investment in your health. And remember: just because massage feels like a pampering treat doesn’t mean it is any less therapeutic. Consider massage appointments a necessary part of your health and wellness plan. We will be happy to work with you to establish a treatment schedule that best meets your needs.
